Use Swiffy to Turn Your Flash SWF Files Into HTML5
With the recent news that Flashisdead, at least for all mobile devices, designers and developers have been looking toward HTML5 for the solutions to their animation problems.
If you are part of this ever-growing group, check out Swiffy by Google.
According to the product page, Swiffy converts Flash SWF files to HTML5, allowing you to reuse Flash content on devices without a Flash player (such as iPhones and iPads). Swiffy can’t yet convert DoubleClick Studio creatives. Swiffy currently supports a subset of SWF 8 and ActionScript 2.0, and the output works in all Webkit browsers such as Chrome and Mobile Safari.
Note: Swiffy can’t handle files input SWF files larger than 1024 MB and will display an error to that effect if you try. For some other options, you can aslo try Gordon or Smokescreen, two other highly recommended solutions.
